It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making it a perfect snack to munch on at any time of the day. If you want to learn how to make Ram Ladoo at home, here is a simple recipe that you can follow: Ingredients: 1 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram) 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp coriander seeds 1 tsp fennel seeds 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped 1 tsp ginger, grated Salt, to taste Water, as needed Oil, for frying Chopped coriander leaves, for garnishing Instructions: Rinse the chana dal in water and soak it in enough water for at least 2 hours. This will help the dal cook faster and become soft. Drain the soaked chana dal and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add enough water to cover the dal, close the pressure cooker, and cook for 3-4 whistles or until the dal is completely cooked and soft. In a pan, dry roast the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds until fragrant. Grind the roasted seeds into a fine powder using a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle. Once the chana dal is cooked, transfer it to a mixing bowl and mash it using a potato masher or a fork. You can also use a blender to blend the dal into a smooth paste, but make sure not to add too much water. Add the ground spices, green chilies, ginger, and salt to the mashed dal and mix well. Take a small portion of the dal mixture and shape it into a round ball. Flatten the ball slightly and make a small hole in the center using your thumb. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the prepared Ram Ladoo in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove the Ram Ladoo from the pan and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Repeat the process with the remaining dal mixture. Serve the Ram Ladoo hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves. You can also serve it with chutney or sauce for dipping.
