Soya Chunks & Peas & Potato Mixed in Rich Tomato Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 50-grams of Soya Chunks
  • 1 Cup/100Grams of Peas
  • 2-3 Chopped Potatoes/Aloo
  • Puree of 3-4 Tomatoes
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 1 tsp. haldi/turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. dhaniya/coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. adhrak & lehsun/ginger & garlic paste
  • 1 tsp. lal mirch/red chili powder
  • 1 tsp. hing/asafetida powder
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • Oil to cook
  • Coriander to garnish

Method:

  • Pre-heat a pressure cooker
  • Add 2 tbsp oil
  • Add 50 grams-soaked soya chunks (soak the chunks in water for 20 mins with a pinch of salt)
  • Sauté them in the oil
  • Add 100 grams/1 cup of peas
  • Add 2-3 chopped aloo/potatoes
  • Mix it well
  • Add salt as per your taste
  • Add 1 tsp. haldi/turmeric powder
  • Add 1 tsp. dhaniya/coriander powder
  • Add 1 tsp. adhrak & lehsun/ginger & garlic paste
  • Add 1 tsp. lal mirch/red chili powder
  • Add 1 tsp. hing/asafetida powder
  • Mix it well
  • Add a tomato puree of 3-4 tomatoes
  • Mix it well
  • Cook it under a lid for 2-3 mins
  • Remove the lid and give it a good mix
  • Add 2 cups of water
  • Lock the lid and let it have 3-4 whistles
  • Remove the lid and mix it well
  • Garnish it with coriander/dhaniya
  • Serve it hot with rice or chapati
