Dahi Vada | Soft Dahi vada – Indian Recipes – Quick & Easy Pancham, June 23, 2019June 23, 2019 Ingredients: 100 Grams of Urad Dal/Black GramWaterSalt as per your tasteOil to fry2 Hari Mirch/Green ChiliesHalf-Inch Adhrak/Ginger1 Cup Curd/Dahi/Yogurt1 tsp. Jeera/Cumin Powder1 tsp. Kali Mirch/Black Pepper Powder1 tsp. Lal Mirch/Red Chili PowderGreen Mint Chutney to GarnishTamarind Chutney to GarnishChopped Coriander to Garnish Method: Soak the Dal in 2 Cups of Water for Half an HourAdd the Dal to a Blender with Salt and 2 Chopped Chilies and Chopped GingerAdd 3-4 tbsp. of WaterBlend to a think consistency to fryIn a Frying Pan take around 200ML of Oil to Fry the Vada’sTake small ball sized portions of the batter and deep fry them.Once golden brown, remove them and keep them asideTake some Luke warm water in a bowl and soak the fried balls in them for 2-3 minsSqueeze the extra water out of the balls and remove them in a separate dish.Take a blender and add 1 Cup of Curd and 1 Cup of Water and SaltGive it a good blend and pour the curd over the ballsGarnish it with Jeera Powder and the Red Chili and the Black pepper powder as per your liking.Add some mint chutney and tamarind chutney over it.Finish the garnish with some chopped coriander.Your Dahi Vada is ready, You can either serve it as it is or keep it in a refrigerator for half an hour or so and serve it when needed.
